LOS ANGELES — What can Agent Carter tell us about the evolving Marvel universe that we didn't already know?
That's been the sticking point with this ABC Studios project since Marvel announced it, but maybe that's the wrong way of looking at it. Whereas it's expected of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to be relevant to the studio's constellation of movies — and functions best when it is — that's practically impossible for Agent Carter, which takes place in 1946 and, at least in its first two hours (which premiered Tuesday night on ABC), gives us exactly zero men in tights.
