The Transportation Security Administration is clear about its regulations on wrapped presents: They're not allowed.
But that doesn't mean everyone follows the rules.
If you had a carefully wrapped present in your checked baggage this holiday, consider yourself lucky if it made it through the trip without being mauled. TSA agents may receive a lot of training, but gift wrapping is apparently not in their skill set.
