UK and U.S. plan cyber 'war games' amid growing global attacks

LONDON — The UK and the U.S. are set to collaborate on a series of cyber 'war games' as part of a broader joint defence measures later this year, the BBC reports.


The first exercise will see a mock attack on the financial sector, targeting the City of London and Wall Street. The Bank of England and other institutions will participate in the game.



The plan will involve agents on both sides of the Atlantic co-operating in "cyber cells". In the U.S., agents from GCHQ and MI5 from the UK side, and from the NSA and FBI on the American side, are already working together in a cell. This will be matched by a cyber cell in the UK. Read more...
