If you think Kim Kardashian has the goods, think again. The only thing breaking the internet in Western Australia is the insane heat.
Monday night, customers of internet service provider iiNet were left in a hot sweat after being disconnected from the internet due to record-breaking temperatures. As Perth fried through a sweltering high of 44.4 degrees Celsius (112 degrees Fahrenheit) at 1:51 p.m. Monday and its sixth hottest day on record, iiNet couldn't handle the heat and melted under the pressure.
"Due to record breaking temperatures at our Perth data centre, we've shut down some of our systems as a precautionary measure," the company wrote on social media, on the hottest January day in Perth since 1991, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Read more...
