Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of News Corp, tweeted last week that Muslims should "be held responsible" for "their growing jihadist cancer." Meanwhile, New York Times columnist Roger Cohen echoed Murdoch's words, calling on "moderate Muslims" to denounce extremists and their actions
In response to these calls, some Muslim scholars and Islamic experts countered that multiple Muslim organizations and individuals have indeed criticized and condemned the attack, or have simply shown solidarity with the #JeSuisCharlie movement. Read more...
