"Unprecedented fog" in Abu Dhabi caused several nightmarish delays for plane passengers, according to Etihad Airways.

Etihad Flight 183 from Abu Dhabi to San Francisco was held on the tarmac for 12 hours on Saturday, turning a 16-hour flight into 28 hours of misery. And Flight 23 to Dusseldorf, Germany, was delayed for 13 hours because of the same fog.
