Nintendo is diving head first into the free-to-play casual space with an announcement Wednesday morning that it is releasing a Pokémon-themed puzzle game similar to Candy Crush Saga for the 3DS in February.
Pokémon Shuffle is a match-three puzzle game, a style that's as old as time. Matching three similar Pokémon on the game board will deal damage to a wild Pokémon. Each puzzle must be completed in a limited number of moves, and the player has lives that take time to refill, mechanics made popular by Candy Crush Saga.
