But now, it's treading onto new territory in a big way with the launch of the Twitch music library and the beta music category
Twitch implemented technology in August 2014 that recognizes and mutes copyrighted music in videos. The Music Library, which includes more than 500 songs, is meant to help content creators use licensed music as background for streaming projects, according to the company.
