Lyft overhauls its brand to become the next Virgin America

If you were to ask people on the street which companies come to mind when you say "Lyft," their responses would likely either be "What's that?" or "Uber."


If you asked executives at Lyft a similar question, they would name an airline



While Lyft may compete in the increasingly crowded ride-hailing space, the company looks to airlines like Southwest and Virgin America as models for how to be disruptive and successful transportation businesses with some personality and flair.
