Nothing is more Australian than washing a feast down with an iced cold beer, and KFC wants to make this an in-store reality.
The fried chicken store has applied for a liquor license for a new concept store in Parramatta in Western Sydney, which will be known as KFC Urban, Fairfax Media reported. The store will be fitted out to appear "high end," with wooden windows and exposed beams giving it a hip vibe, and plans to serve cider and beer to the cool crowd.
In a statement, KFC Australia said it hopes "to introduce a new KFC experience in Parramatta's CBD in the near future, serving beer and cider as part of its menu." The company is awaiting on approval from the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority. Read more...
