Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, who the Islamic State (ISIS) is currently holding hostage, appeared in a new purported recording on Tuesday claiming that he and a captured Jordanian pilot will be killed in 24 hours if Jordan doesn't free a woman imprisoned for an attempted suicide bombing there.
The video, titled "The second and the last message from the captive Kenji Goto," contains a man's voice, which is reportedly Goto's, speaking to the people of Japan and the Japanese government.
"I've been told this is my last message," the voice says, "and I've also been told that the barrier obstructing my freedom is now just the Jordanian government delaying the handover of Sajida al-Rishawi." Read more...
