Star Wars: The Force Awakens won't hit theaters until Dec. 18, but illustrator Gerard Folz is starting the countdown early.
For 365 days, the cartoonist will turn a scene from the original Star Wars movies into a single panel cartoon. He's dubbed this ambitious new project #DarthDays
Folz is only a few days into his project, with just four highly detailed panels posted to his Twitter feed. As AV Club points out, his drawing style is similar to that of the original Marvel Star Wars comic book series
