Huge waves hitting coastal roads create dangerous driving conditions in Turkey

A strong storm stirred up high waves that pounded coastal roads in Turkey's southern province of Antalya on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to local media reports. The storm is the latest in a series of winter weather systems that have affected Greece, Turkey and the Middle East during the past two weeks


According to Turkish news agency Cihan , the winds reached 107 kilometers per hour, or about 67 miles per hour, prompting the Antalya Governor’s Office to declare a one-day vacation for students as well as disabled and pregnant people working in state agencies
