Hands on with Sling TV, Dish's streaming service with ESPN

LAS VEGAS — Internet TV took a step forward this week when Dish Network announced Sling TV at CES 2015. The service, launching in early 2015, will offer about 20 channels of live TV over the Internet, including ESPN — a first for a legit over-the-top service.

To get Sling TV, users will need to fork over $20 a month and use a compatible device. Dish built Sling TV to support plenty of hardware: Mac, PC, Android, iOS, streaming devices like Amazon Fire TV and Roku boxes, the Xbox One, and many smart TVs. I got a chance to check it out on an Android tablet on the CES show floor.
