A blast damaged a restaurant near a mosque in the city of Villefranche-sur-Saone, eastern France on Thursday, French newspaper Le Progres reports. There were no casualties
According to the mayor of Villefranche Bernard Perrut, the explosion happened in front of the restaurant L'Impérial, run by "people close to the mosque."
Perrut told Le Progres he is afraid the explosion might be linked to the dramatic events from Wednesday, when 12 people, including two police officers, were shot and killed in a terror attack on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris Read more...
