LAS VEGAS — Wander the floors of the Consumer Electronics Show, and you'll soon see dozens of tech company booths making space for a larger-than-average class of gadget: cars


Futuristic autos are front and center at CES — and judging by the packed hall for Ford CEO Mark Fields' keynote speech Tuesday, they're here to stay.



"Automotive manufacturers, suppliers and developers have been coming to CES for years," said Nicole Yelland, a spokeswoman for AutoTrader. But we've reached a turning point because "the car technology that consumers want," like self-driving cars and connected cars, is finally here, she said.
