LONDON — It's one most divisive foods going, but even fans of the salty, sticky, yeasty spread are unsure about the notion of a Marmite Easter egg
Unilever, the food manufacturer behind Marmite, has teamed up with chocolate maker Kinnerton, tapping into the trend for salty, sweet chocolate. The company is also launching a Pot Noodle-flavoured chocolate egg
The Marmite confection will come in a shell-egg format, while the Pot Noodle version will be an egg-in-mug offering
The manufacturers are hoping the move will tap into the growing Easter egg market in the UK, which is now worth £365 million a year. Meanwhile, Marmite has annual sales worth £25 million. Read more...
