Cricket Australia has launched an Apple TV channel in the middle of the Australian summer, giving fans access to extra content and information. It is the first Australian sport to launch on the platform.
The exclusive Apple TV channel's content will include player interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and tutorials. Highlights from Test cricket matches will be available 90 minutes after a match. The channel is currently free and produced by Nine Entertainment Co. in partnership with Cricket Australia.
Andrew Baber, a spokesperson for Cricket Australia told Mashable the decision to launch the channel came about due to the interest from Australian fans in extra content to "compliment" the live coverage. Read more...
