Ukraine's government and pro-Russian separatists exchanged hundreds of prisoners on Friday in a rare sign of cooperation.
The swap took place under the cover of darkness north of the separatist stronghold of Donetsk, near the city of Konstantinovka, after the two sides agreed to the trade on Wednesday.
Those freed from the Ukrainian side include a fighter known as Ruslan Tinkalyuk, according to a list published by the Security Service of UkraineMashable interviewed Tinkalyuk while he was being held captive with dozens of others by rebel forces in Ilovaisk. Read more...
