A teenager has been fatally shot by police at around 11:15 p.m. local time Tuesday at a gas station in Berkeley, near Ferguson, the St Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The victim was identified as Antonio Martin, 18, by his mother, Toni Martin. She, along with others at the scene, said Martin was shot by a police officer.
St. Louis County police confirmed that a man who pulled a gun and pointed it at an officer has been killed, AP reports.
County police spokesman Sgt. Brian Schellman says a Berkeley police officer was conducting a routine business check at a gas station around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday when he saw two men and approached them. Read more...
