Flight attendant, pilot strikes disrupt holiday week travel

'Tis the season for airline labor disputes.


Flight attendants at British budget airline easyJet planned a strike Dec. 25 and 26, just in time to interfere with holiday travelers' plans. Luckily, the airline had no scheduled flights Thursday, Christmas Day, but the impact will be felt Friday.



There were 1,200 flights scheduled Friday, according to the airline. But the strike should affect only a small number of those, because only some flight attendants' unions are striking.
