Cops deliver baby boy on Philadelphia's subway Christmas Day

Two transit cops had the privilege of welcoming one of Philadelphia's newest residents to the world Christmas evening.


"When she was on the train I guess the baby said, 'I'm ready to come out now,'" Toney Harris-Saunders, who was on the same subway train headed to see family, told NBC 10. He saw the woman going into labor, and called 911.



Officers Daniel Caban and Dorrell James arrived just in time.


“I was hoping for a quiet day, but this is worth it,” said Caban, who helped deliver the baby.


“As soon as we got there, I could see the baby’s head coming through her sweatpants, and we just went right to work,” he told KYW Newsradio. Read more...
