If we've learned one thing this year, it's that you should never underestimate the power of potato salad and a few royal robe-donning pugs.
Thanks to Kickstarter, a handful of wacky projects that might have otherwise never seen the light of day found their way on the market and into our hearts this year.
Other outlandish ideas weren't as warmly received: We may never know the lives that could have been changed through the Odor-Eliminating Toilet and a performance art piece involving a man wearing an Oculus Rift for a month.
